Water well for Venezuela

“Jesus, tired from his journey, sat down there at the well. It was about noon. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, ‘Give me a drink.’” (Jn. 4:5-7)

In March 2019, the Sisters of our German Province donated funds to our Sisters in Venezuela to build a well. Access to the well was to be outside our property so that the people could freely draw water. The well was built the following month. Now as the situation in Venezuela becomes even more desparate, we see how very beneficial this source of water is for so many in the area. Efforts are underway to purify the water and also build another well. We remember the words of Our Lord, “When I was thirsty, you gave me to drink . . .”
